Odisha Bus Service or OBS as it is better known envisages changing the face of road public transport system of Orissa.  What started over a coffee discussion in the winter of 2007 has culminated in to an aggressive project plan, hoping to give a breather to all commuters who thought the bus industry never heeded to Customer Satisfaction.

It was the passion and rigour of OBS’ founder, Abhishek Mohanty, which has helped it see the light of the day.  Abhishek, an alumnus of BJB College, Bhubaneswar and Faculty of Law (CLC), Delhi University had a plush job with an MNC which he walked over to start this venture.  It was his dream to return to his homeland and start a Socio-Economic Project which would help him give back to the society in whatever little way.  Thus has started OBS, on its journey of connecting Orissa.

OBS crossed many a hurdle with the vision and support of Mr. Debasis Nayak - The Think Tank.  With over 30 years of experience in the trade, by all means he is a veteran player who knows his road ahead.

The fundamental basis of OBS is:

• To provide all bus operators a greater margin of return
• To ensure that commuters enjoy unsurpassable customer experience
• To re-route profit for greater societal benefit

We are obviously a very small organization with no venture capital pouring in funds (not that we were looking out ).  However, that has not stopped us from doing things the way we wanted to.  We have ensured that all our customers who have no access to the net or love face value, get to enjoy the benefits we offer through our retail partner - Indian Oil Corporation.  Though we may be small today, we dream big, coz we’ve heard day dreaming gets you big in life.  In a couple of years from now we hope to stretch pan Orissa and have become a household name.  To start with we’d like to know you better and give you a taste of OBS, so make sure you book your next ticket on the roads of Orissa through OBS.
